Back when Khloe and Kim were “taking” Miami, Kim got a vampire facial for the whole world to see. The “vampire” aspect of the facial is that doctor’s took Kim’s own blood (from her arms) and injected it into her face. The vampire technique was also applied to boobs, and given to Oscar nominees in their gift baskets. But now, you can get your own blood injected into another part of your body: your vagina.
Is it kinda questionable? Sure, but unlike a vampire facial or boob lift, injecting blood into your vagina isn’t for lifting and plumping purposes, it’s for orgasm purposes. But it’s not called the vampire vagina lift, it’s called the O-shot, and more and more people seem to be trying it out in hopes that their vagina will be more sensitive, wetter, and tighter.
The O-shot is performed at a variety of locations, including Cindy Barshop’s V SPOT medispa in NYC which she describes as a “vagina spa.”
The basic process of the O-shot is that you get your blood drawn, you get your vag numbed, and you get a shot in your G-spot as well as a shot in the top of your clitoral hood.
“It sounds like it hurts but you don’t feel it [because of the numbing],” says Cindy.
You’re also probably wondering how the doctor finds your G-spot. After all, it seems like no dude ever can, and haven’t people claimed that the G-spot is a myth? Cindy says that not all doctors are as skilled at finding the G-spot, but that her doctor is actually the international trainer of the O-shot, which sounds like a pretty legit title.
“People will say it doesn’t work, but it’s likely because they went to someone who wasn’t sure exactly where to put it,” says Cindy. “You have to be trained to administer the O-shot. You have to know where the G-spot is and everything else.”
This is reassuring, as we’d hope the person shooting up our pussy had a bit of training done. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), you’re not going to start spontaneously having orgasms as soon as the shot is administered.
“It takes a little time for people to feel it immediately, around three months,” says Cindy. “Obviously, on the clitoral hood, you’re going to get more stimulation over there. There are two parts, you have the ability to orgasm quicker and more intense. On the more serious side, if you orgasm better you want more sex which leads to better relationships.”
Better and faster orgasms is a promise that could make even the most anti-needle person (like myself) consider going to get a vampire vag treatment.
“You know when sex is done and you’re like ‘what about me?’ I think it’s great how women are realizing that their orgasm is just as important as the man’s, we’re just built differently,” says Cindy. “And the other part is that it’s easier for the guy. No more faking the orgasms with the O-shot.”
Cindy says the only person she wouldn’t recommend get the shot is someone with a blood disease or “if you’re one of the few people who orgasm too much” which sounds like a good problem to have.
Although V SPOT does provide some services that play into women’s self-esteem issues about their vagina’s appearance, the O-shot seems to be purely for women’s sexual satisfaction purposes.
“There’s a women’s sexual revolution going on right now,” says Cindy. “It’s partly due to pop culture. The Kardashians are talking about it, and I hate to say that but they do, and the Housewives do it on the show too. It’s finally becoming okay to talk about these things.”
Sure, there are other options for women who are having problems with their sexual desire, but Cindy believes that the O-shot is a way better option than popping a pill.
“The only thing that has been FDA approved is the Addyi,” says Cindy. “It’s an anti-depressant, you can’t drink ever. It’s nothing physical. So it’s like, once again we’re in the 1920s and people are saying ‘it’s with your head, not your body.’ It’s physical! It’s because the vaginal canal got thin and it’s not lubricated right. It’s upsetting…Like, really?”
V SPOT has only been administering the O-shot for about a year, which is as long as the effects are supposed to last, so it’s tough to know if the process is working enough that there will be repeat customers. But either way, it seems that most people who’ve gotten the shots themselves are pretty pleased. And there’s nothing wrong with taking a shot at amping up your sex life…pun intended.
